Window Installer – Full Time
Job Description
The Window Installer is primarily responsible for on-site installation and repair of doors and windows, based on an assigned schedule. An Installer ensures work site set up, performs basic to routine window or door installations and removal, performs work-site tear down and clean-up of the entire job site. Additionally, they are responsible to ensure that all product testing, troubleshooting, and repair are completed properly, to the satisfaction of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove and install windows
- Ensure that company tools and vehicle are kept in good working order
- Safety – perform all duties in a safe manner and alert to any unsafe working conditions
- Complete window removals and installations in a timely manner
- Effectively collaborate with co-workers to achieve desired results
- Completed paperwork required
- Load and unload materials from truck onto work site
- Install locks and metal arms on window frames.
- Responsible for cleanup inside and outside of each job location

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with window installation, removal & service – preferred experience with double-hung windows
- Good communication skills to address any problems or questions
- Knowledge of window repair work
- Experienced with all types of installations

Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced Laborers with construction experience
- Window experience highly preferred
- Candidates with mechanical, construction, or carpentry backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Ability to read detailed work orders and shop drawings a plus
- Ability to Lift, pull, push & carry up to 75 lbs, multiple times on a daily basis
- Pay range $18 – $25 per hour Applications can be submitted to Careers@skylinewindows.com
- Ability to stand on a consistent basis for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk stairs and ramps multiple times on a daily basis
- Ability to work on an open construction site which may include high elevation
- Ability to use door shop and wood working tools/ machinery
- Working knowledge of hand an power tools
- 40 hour Site Safety, NYC DOB card preferred
- Must possess a valid 30 hour OSHA safety training card and ability to earn 40 hour Site Safety
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license
- High School diploma or equivalent GED
- 3 years of experience
Additional Information
Local candidates only – no relocation or telecommuting
Work location is Florida
